Top 10 Reasons I am Thrilled About the Next Chapter in My Life

Starting Phase 2 on Dr. Phil's 20/20 Diet, It's Got To Be My Turn


We did it!  We finally got through Dr. Phil's 20/20 Diet PHASE 1!  Let me just say that these were probably 5 of the toughest days I have ever seen.

When I say that I am thrilled about the next chapter in my life, I'm talking about PHASE 2 on our diet plan!!!!!  Yesssssssssss!!

Here are the top 10 reasons I am absolutely thrilled about PHASE 2:

  1. Mushrooms
  2. Blueberries
  3. Oranges
  4. Grapes
  5. Tomatoes
  6. Chicken breast :)
  7. Oats
  8. Brown Rice
  9. Avocado
  10. NO MORE COD.....maybe EVER!
I can't wait to start our next 5 day journey!

Donut Disaster...ALMOST.

Phase 1, Dr. Phil's 20/20 Diet, It's Got To Be My Turn


Ok, so here is how three simple donut holes almost blew my entire diet!  This morning I got up and within twenty minutes my friend brought me my wonderful little grandbaby, {big smile} and was sweet enough to bring me breakfast.

I grabbed a donut hole, ate it, and mindlessly popped in two more.

Now, the problem is that I am just beginning Dr. Phil's 20/20 Diet plan and on my fourth VERY LONG DAY!  While I am tiring of cod, cod, and more cod; I really don't want to ruin everything.  I especially don't want to have to start over!!!!!

When I am typically on a diet and I make a little ummm....goof.... I totally go off the deep end and eat everything in sight!

Somehow, I pulled it together and maintained my diet for the rest of the day.

Yes, I ate cod AGAIN for dinner.

Day Two.....

Exercising on Dr. Phil's 20/20 Diet, It's Got To Be My Turn


To walk or not to walk that is the question.  I have worked a full day for the first time in three days only to be welcomed home by more cod and My favorite PJs. My brain says put cloths back on and go down the dirt road/hill so I can be one step closer to my goal of size 14! However my habit of no exercise is comfortable.  Besides I walked yesterday.  Surely I walked around my classroom enough to call it exercise, right.  I just know got extra exercise points for how far I park from my classroom.  And if you have spent any time at a junior high you know for a fact my heart rate went up dealing with students. Even more excuses that I have used 1000 times are just jumping into my head.  I have gotten really good at excuses I am almost at professional excuse status.

If only Aunt Jen Jen was here she could tell me to get up and walk down the long steep hill.  Well, Jen I hear you loud and clear! Off the couch and into tennis shoes I go.  Thanks for the continued support....I can do anything for three more days.

Cod Cakes

Starting Dr. Phil's 20/20 Diet Plan, It's Got To Be My Turn


Day One last meal of the day......Cod Cakes.  The first thought that comes to mind is eating salmon patties as a child.  The buttery goodness that taste like heaven until the very last bite. Leading me to cod cakes.....not the best meal, but not the worst.  I personally liked the mustard and lemon tang, but got tired of eating the same item.   Here is to doing anything for 4 more days!!!!
